What types of account do you have?

We offer two types of accounts. The general account for spot trading and wallet service and also a Leverage Trading account.

How can I open a general account?

Go to our homepage, and click “Open an Account”.

You will jump to our account opening page, where you can input your personal details and upload a personal verification document. Once you click “Upload”, your application is submitted. Please make sure you agree to the Terms & Conditions of using our service before you click “Upload”. It will take 1-2 working days for your application to be processed. Once your application is accepted, you will receive an email with your login and password.

What do I need for personal verification documents?

Please submit the following documents for personal verification :

Note: You can only upload jpg, png, bmp, gif, tiff, pdf files up to 5MB.

1.Identity Document

Please submit your identity document. If you are Malaysian, it must be MyKad. If you are not Malaysian, please submit your passport.

2. Address Proof Document

All applicants must submit a document including the address and name.

Documents containing your name and address.

Following is accepted:

The latest utility bill receipt within the last 3 months (water, gas, electricity, etc. )

Please note:

-Must have an address
-The address proof must be the same name as the account applicant.

3. ID and Personal Photo

You must also upload the picture showing your face with ID like the picture below.
Do not hide the information on your ID by your own hand.

Can I open multiple accounts?

No. We only accept one account per person

Is there a requirement for opening an account?

The personal has to be 18 years old to 65 years old.

How can I open a corporate account?

We have no fees for account opening. It’s Free!

The conditions for foreign people to open the account

Foreign people need to prepare for below verification documents to open their accounts.

 

Identity documents for foreign people must be a passport.

Foreign people must also submit a document including the address and name.

What is US Tax Liability?

Person whose nationality is US and right of residence is in US has tax obligation in US. Even if you live in Malaysia and work for Malaysian company with income in Malaysia, you must pay tax to US government as long as your nationality is American. Inhabitant of the United States as tax law is person who has the green card or person who stays in US more than 31 days in the year and more than 183 days total for the last 3 years including the year.

If the contract is as corporation, what should we submit for verification documents?

You must submit below documents as corporate contracts

  • The register book of your company (Section5)
  • The verification document of the representative and the responsible person. (It must include address, name, date of birth and your own photo.)

If you are Malaysian, it must be MyKad. If you are not Malaysian, it must be passport and you also need address proof documents such as water bill, Gas bill or Electricity bill.

If the responsible person is different as the representative, you must submit a letter of attorney.

My current address is temporary and I have not registered my current address to the government. Can I open my account if my current address is different as the address on verification documents?

No. You are unable to open your account.

You must submit verification documents when you open your account on our service website and your registered address to the account and the address on your verification documents must be same otherwise you are unable to open your account.

What foreign PEPs is?

Person who is on important position in foreign government or was on important position in foreign government before.

Important positions in foreign government are below.

1, Head of a state

2, Prime Minister, Minister of state, Senior Vice Minister, or positions countervailed to those

3, Chairman of parliament, vice-chairman or positions countervailed to those

4, Judge from sperm court or positions countervailed to it

5, Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary, envoy, a special ambassador, representatives of the government or the person in position of complete power of attorney

6, Chief of military, chief of army, vice chief of army, chief of navy, vice chief of navy, chief of air force, vice chief of air force or the person in position countervailed to those.

7, Officials from central bank

8, Officials from corporation who need to approve a decision of national congress

Family of above people (Their spouse including common law marriage, parents, children and siblings) and spouse, parents or children of any other persons in important positions.

Grandparents or grandchildren are not corresponded to foreign PEPs.

For example, if the spouse of the person in important position of foreign government is Malaysian, Malaysian customers could correspond foreign PEPs.

If you apply as corporation and above person is substantial controller could correspond to foreign PEPs

I want to change the registered job, annual income, finance assets or trading purpose.

Login → Account → Edit Account Information → Confirm/Change Registered Bank Acct → Edit as Bank Name and Account Number

The information about the bank account for withdrawing fiat is displayed and you are able to change it. After changing the information, click “To Confirmation Screen”. You need verify number and transaction PIN number to request for changing information. Verify number is sent to your registered email address by clicking “Get No”. During this, please keep opening the changing screen. Enter the verify number in the box of verify number and enter transaction PIN number to request for changing your information.

Session is automatically cut on the trading site in an hour. If you close the page for request before you click the link for request, you have to enter the request information again and need to get verify number again.

The new information about the account is reflected by 6:00 PM if the request is accepted by 4:00 PM.

In the case that request is accepted after 4:00 PM on business day, the request is reflected by 6:00 PM next business day.

*Important point to change bank information

The bank account holder must be same as the registered name for BITPoint Malaysia account.

I want to change the registered email address.

Login → Account → Edit Account Information → Confirm/Change Basic Account Info → Edit as Email Address

Click “Edit” as Email Address and the screen to change information is displayed so enter the changing information. You need verify number and transaction PIN number to request for changing information. Verify number is sent to your registered email address by clicking “Get No”. During this, please keep opening the changing screen. Enter the verify number in the box of verify number and enter transaction PIN number to request for changing your information.

Important points to change the registered email address

  • The email address which has been already registered on any other account is unable to be registered.
  • Verify number is sent to the registered email address before changing.

The registered email address is ID to login so login ID is new registered email address after changing.

I want to change the registered sir name.

Login → Account → Edit Account Information → Confirm/Change Basic Account Info → Edit as Full Name

Click “Edit” as Full Name and the screen to change information is displayed so enter the changing information. You must submit verification documents and you need verify number and transaction PIN number to request for changing information. Verify number is sent to your registered email address by clicking “Get No”. During this, please keep opening the changing screen. Enter the verify number in the box of verify number and enter transaction PIN number to request for changing your information.

When we accept your request, we send you URL to upload verification documents by email. As soon as we confirm your verification documents, we send you email about completion of your request for changing registered sir name.

Important point to change registered name

Click “Edit” as phone number and the screen to change information is displayed so enter the changing information. You need verify number and transaction PIN number to request for changing information. Verify number is sent to your registered email address by clicking “Get No”. During this, please keep opening the changing screen. Enter the verify number in the box of verify number and enter transaction PIN number to request for changing your information.

You are unable to register the same phone number as the other customers including your family.

Click “Edit” as Citizen and the screen to change information is displayed so enter the changing information. You must submit verification documents and you need verify number and transaction PIN number to request for changing information. Enter the verify number in the box of verify number and enter transaction PIN number to request for changing your information.

Can I register the bank account that registered branch is outside Malaysia?

We are afraid that registered branch must be in Malaysia.

What can I do if I cannot login?

Please confirm that the login ID and password entered are correct. Check your cap is not locked. If you still cannot login, click forgot your password from the login page. Enter your login ID, date of birth, new password, transaction PIN and then Click Get Number for Verification code. A verification code will be sent to your registered email. Input the code found in your email in the “Reset login password” screen and click “Change”. An email will be sent to your registered email confirming the change of password.

I forgot login password and transaction PIN number, what should I do?

If you do not know password or transaction PIN number, reset password from the link “Forgot your password?” on the screen of login or “How to remove account lock?” on the screen of FAQ.

 

Reset transaction PIN number first on the below proceed.

 

Please contact our customer support by using our contact form about “Reset transaction PIN number”.

 

If you forgot or lost your transaction PIN, please send an email to support@bitpoint.com.my from your registered email address.

In the subject of the email type: Forgot Pin.

And in the main text type; your name, account number, registered address and your date of birth. Please also attach a scanned copy of your identity documents. Upon confirming your identity, we will send you an email with a temporary PIN. Please make sure you change the PIN after login.

 

Setting transaction PIN number is four half-width digit numbers.

And next, reset password, please.

Click forgot your password from the login page.

 

Enter your login ID and date of birth, and then Click Get Number for Verification code. A verification code will be sent to your registered email address. Input the code found in your email in the “Reset login password” screen and click “Change”. An email will be sent to your registered email confirming the change of password.

Enter new password.

Password must be more than 4 letters and less than 16 letters by using half-width English numbers and letters.

 

Please enter the new password again for confirmation.

Enter the transaction PIN number, please.

When you click “Change”, the password is reset.

You are able to login by new password you change next time to login.

What can I do when my Account is locked?

To unlock, click forgot your password from the login page or click here. Enter your login ID, date of birth, new password, transaction PIN and then Click Get Number for Verification code. A verification code will be sent to your registered email. Input the code found in your email in the “Reset login password” screen and click “Change”. An email will be sent to your registered email confirming the change of password and your account is unlocked.

What is a Transaction PIN?

Transaction PIN is a 4 digit PIN code you have set upon account opening with us. This PIN is used when placing orders, withdrawals, etc.

How to unlock for incorrect transaction pin?

We lock accounts upon multiple incorrect transaction pin inputs. To unlock, please send an email to support@bitpoint.com.my from your registered email address. In the subject of the email type: Unlock Account.

In the main text type; your name, account number, registered address and your date of birth.

Upon confirming your identity, we will unlock the account.

What do I do if I forgot my login password?

Click forgot your password from the login page.

Enter your login ID, date of birth, new password, transaction PIN and then Click Get Number for Verification code. A verification code will be sent to your registered email. Input the code found in your email in the “Reset login password” screen and click “Change”. An email will be sent to your registered email confirming the change of password.

What do I do if I forget my transaction PIN?

How to change login password?

To change your login password, first login using your ID and password. Then click on “Account” on the top menu. Then under the dropdown menu you will see “Change Password”. From this screen enter your current password, new password and click “Update”.

How to change transaction PIN?

To change your transaction PIN, first login using your ID and password. Then click on “Account” on the top menu. Then under the dropdown menu you will see “Change Transaction PIN”. From this screen enter your current PIN, new PIN and click “Update”.

What is Digital Assets?

Digital assets are new digital tokens run by the block chain. Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, Ripple are examples of digital assets.

What is Bitcoin?

Bitcoin is the first decentralized digital asset and is in a form of digital token that is created electronically over the internet. It is operated by computers around the world by solving mathematical problems. Bitcoin network is peer-to-peer, and transactions takes place directly between users with no intermediary

What is the difference with Fiat currencies like USD, HKD, JPY, RMB?

Bitcoin is a decentralized digital asset where there is no central authority controlling or running it. It is transacted peer-to-peer directly between users, with no intermediary.

Who controls the bitcoin?

Bitcoin is not controlled by anybody. Not a government, company or any person. Bitcoin uses the blockchain to establish a network over the internet. The transaction ledger is distributed around the world in multiple servers or nodes to mitigate any potential risks of falsifying data through hacks. The ledger is open to the public so anyone can check the transaction history and evaluate a transaction. The disclosed system allows prevention for forging and double spending a bitcoin.

What is a digital assets exchange?

Digital asset exchange such as BITPoint Malaysia offers a platform for users to buy and sell digitals assets using fiat money (MYR only).

How many Bitcoins are there?

The maximum number of Bitcoins that will be available in the world is 21 million Bitcoins. However, not all Bitcoins are mined or circulated yet. Bitcoins are created through a process called mining, which is a process where computers around the world are solving a mathematical problem to be rewarded Bitcoins. Bitcoins are still being minted through this process up to 21 million bitcoins. The smallest unit of Bitcoin is 0.00000001 Bitcoin.

What is mining?

Many users create Bitcoin by using software to work out high advanced operation all over the world. High spec PC or hardware having the exclusive tip are needed for mining and many people say that electricity bill for mining is higher price than Bitcoin price in the market. This activity is called mining. The total amount of Bitcoin is decided 21 million coin same as reserve of gold is limited.

Is Bitcoin safe?

Bitcoin is one of crypto currency and based on Block chain which is data base shared by all network access points related with Bitcoin trading. All trading ever are recorded on Block chain and anyone is able to check out that the record of every single Bitcoin sent by who to whom. Block chain checks every single trade to protect from double trading whether the trading has been done or not. Everyone in the world is able to investigate or audit trading and the structure itself is not unfair and trustable system to make settlement. What is wallet?

It is electric wallet to keep crypto currency. Customers are able to keep your crypto currency in the wallet.

What is Ethereum?

Currency unit of Ethereum as crypto currency is Ether and we count 1 ETH.

Ethereum is to be used for smart contract or assets defined by personal user so it is very flexible crypto currency.

Bitcoin is managed about all trading history by Block chain but Ethereum is different. Contracts of Ethereum trading are written on Block chain of dispersal type and the contract detail written is executed.

What is cold wallet?

It is the structure which manage customers’ and the company’s crypto currency under the environment without connecting internet.

The company is able to protect crypto currency from hacking by the third party with malice by adapting cold wallet system. Even if our wallet is attacked, crypto currency in the place without connecting internet is unable to be brought out.

We are able to keep customers’ assets under the safe environment.

The needed number of confirmation on block chain when you receive crypto currency

Ethereum is 6.
Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash and Litecoin are 3.
Ripple is 0. As soon as Ripple come in the block, receipt is completed.

What is the maximum order unit for limit order?

It is different according to the asset you would like to trade.
For Bitcoin it is 30 BTC.
For Ethereum it is 100 ETH.
For Bitcoin Cash it is 20 BCC.
For Litcoin it is 500 LTC.
For Ripple it is 30,000XRP.

What is the trading hours?

Digital assets trading is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week except maintenance time of 10min between 3:00 PM to 3:10 PM (Malaysia time).

How to buy/sell digital assets?

Follow the following steps to buy/sell.

1. Login to our trading site. Click on “Trading” from the top menu.
2. Select your desired CCY (Currency) Pair.
3. Select your desired order type (Streaming, Single, Stop Loss).
4. Select Buy/Sell
5. Check your purchasable amount and enter the quantity you would like to purchase.
6. Select your order type (Market, Limit).
7. Input your transaction PIN and click order.
8. A confirmation screen will come up. If it is correct, click “Execute” and your order is
placed. Once your order is filled, your order will be completed.

What is the trading fee?

It is 0.5% on all orders executed. For further details on the fee’s please click here.

How can I cancel or change an order placed?

In the trading site, click “Inquiries” from the top menu. Select “Order History”, and you will see the list of orders you have placed. You can click on “Correct” or “Cancel” to change or cancel your order.

What is the smallest order unit?

For Bitcoin, it is 0.0001 BTC at an increment of 0.0001 BTC.
For Ethereum, it is 0.01 ETH at an increment of 0.01 ETH.
For Bitcoin Cash, it is 0.0001 BCC at an increment of 0.0001 BCC.
For Litcoin, it is 0.1 LTC at an increment of 0.1 LTC.
For Ripple, it is 1 XRP at an increment of 1 XRP.

What are the type of orders available?

We offer the following types of orders: Single [Market/Limit], Stop Loss [Market], Streaming [Market/Loss].

Single Order [Market] is a buy/sell order executed based on current market price. It is most convenient when you want to just buy/sell now. The priority is higher on filling the current available orders, therefore there is a possibility that you may not be able to purchase at the desired price upon large market fluctuations. Single Order [Limit] is a buy/sell order executed based on your designated price. The orders will not fill under your desired price, however if the market price does not meet your designated price, then your placed orders may never fill until the market price reaches your designated price.

Stop Loss [Market] is a buy order executed when it rises above a specific market price or
a sell order executed when it falls below a specific price. It is inverse to a Single Limit
Order. Streaming Order [Market] is a buy/sell order where you can execute while viewing the
latest buy/sell price with a click. Depending on the market volatility, you may not be able
to buy/sell at the exact price.

Streaming Order [Limit] is a buy/sell limit order where you can execute while viewing
the latest buy/sell price with a click. Your final purchase will not fall below the
designated price.

What is the difference between Spot and Leverage trading?

Spot trading uses self-funds to exchange with the asset. Whereas for leverage trading, you can leverage your purchases with borrowed funds, and you will make a profit on the margin earned. Actual bitcoin exchange does not take place. Leverage trading can be used to margin trades and increase profits. However, leverage trades are also riskier than spot trades. We therefore advise you to use margin trading carefully.

What is the maximum order unit for limit order?

It is different according to the asset you would like to trade.
For Bitcoin, it is no limit.
For Ethereum, it is no limit.
For Bitcoin Cash, it is no limit.
For Litcoin, it is no limit.
For Ripple, it is no limit.

What type of order can we do?

We provide customers for Single order (Market and Limit), Stop loss order (Market) and Streaming order (Market and Limit).

Single order is the way of order to observe the market and good for people who want to buy or sell crypto currency straight away. In principle of time priority, the contract of buying and selling is agreed. Therefore, if the price is suddenly changed, the contract could be agreed with unexpected price.

When you order, please, select Market order without price and enter only the number of coins you would like to buy or sell.

 

Single order (Limit order) is the way customers order to buy and sell crypto currency with designating price. Agreement is not worse condition than the price customers designated but when the price does not reach the designated price, the order is not agreed.

 

Stop loss order (Market) is opposite as limit and market order. When the price of crypto currency is higher than the price customers designated, buying order is agreed. When the price is lower than the designated price, selling order is agreed. Customers are able to deposit orders until the price reaches the designated price and when the price reached the designated price, the order is agreed by market order.

When you place an order, please, select Limit and designate price and quantity.

 

Streaming order (Market) is the way to order with looking at 2 way price displayed on the screen.

When you permit 1 click, your order is agreed with market order with 1 click.

The order could be agreed with more disadvantageous price than the displayed price.

 

Streaming order (Limit) is the way to order with looking at 2 way price displayed on the screen.

Customers’ order is agreed with the displayed price.

“Market order” takes priority for agreement more than “Limit order”.

How can I start trading?

Customers have to deposit into the banking institution first. Click “Transfer” on the top page and click “Deposit Fiat” then you are able to check the bank account. When your deposit is reflected, you are able to start trading. When you click “Trading” on the top page, you are able to select currency pair and look at the amount of balance and spot trading screen to buy or sell crypto currency. You are able to buy crypto currency within the range of balance. You are able to choose Single order (Market or Limit), Streaming order (Market or Limit) or Stop loss order (Market).

When you choose Single order, you are able to select Market order without designating price and Limit order with designating price. You have to choose quantity for market order. You have to choose price and quantity for limit order. After these, please enter “Transaction PIN number”. When you click “Confirmation”, Execution confirmation screen is displayed so if the information is ok, please click “Execute”.

 

When you take Streaming order, please designate quantity and click panel displaying current price for buy or sell.

 

If you select market, the order could be agreed with different price as the displayed price. If the price suddenly changes, the order could be agreed with unexpected price.

 

If you select limit, the order is not agreed with the worse price than the designated price.

 

If you select stop loss order (market), it is the way to order for buying when the market price is higher than your designating price and for selling when the market price is lower than your designating price.

 

If you tick in the box for Skip Confirmation Screen, you are able to place an order by only 1 click and confirmation screen is not displayed before execution.

Can I buy Bitcoin as fixed amount like 100 RM without designating quantity?

No. You are able to trade Bitcoin for 0.0001 BTC minimum and 0.0001 BTC unit.

Can you tell me trading unit of Bitcoin?

It is 0.0001 BTC minimum and 0.0001 BTC unit.

Can you tell me trading unit of Bitcoin Cash?

It is 0.0001 BCH minimum and 0.0001 BCH unit.

Can you tell me trading unit of Ethereum?

It is 0.0001 ETH minimum and 0.0001 ETH unit.

Can you tell me trading unit of Litecoin?

What is the difference between streaming order and single order?

Streaming order is that customers are able to place an order by clicking the panel displaying price for your timing. Customers do not have to designate price and displayed price is designated.

On the other side, Single order is that customers place an order by entering price you want to buy or sell in the case of limit order.

Market order by both ways is that price could be agreed in disadvantageous for customers. The condition of order execution for both Streaming order and Single order is FAS for limit order and FAK for market order.

Market order is agreed prior than limit order.

Please designate quantity for both Streaming order and Single order when you place an order.

What is settlement date of crypto currency?

It is a day when customers make payment and receive spot in the case to buy and deliver spot and receive payment in the case to sell for crypto currency trading.

Settlement date is next business day from agreement day.

I bought 0.0001 BTC. Why is it different between the price displayed in the average cost and the displayed price for Buy (Ask)?

If you buy 0.0001 BTC as 4158.41 RM, the agreement price is 0.44RM.

(The calculation about the agreement price : 4158.41 RM × 0.0001 BTC = 0.42 RM  3 decimal places are round off.)

The calculation of the average of unit price is that 0.44 RM ÷ 0.0001 BTC = 4400 RM (In the case you do not possess other Bitcoin)

Therefore, the displayed price for buying is 0.42 Rm and the average of unit price is 4400 RM.

I can’t sell some quantity of crypto currency although I select all quantity at selling spot trading. Why?

Quantity a customer is able to receive and quantity a customer is able to trade are different. Therefore, all quantity for sell is all balance to sell and is more than 0.0001 as BTC, BCH and ETH. You are unable to sell crypto currency less than possible quantity to sell at our exchange. I am afraid that you have to send it to other exchange or receive crypto currency to reach the possible quantity to sell. Please be careful.

It takes 10 minutes to 30 minutes after your request for withdraw that crypto currency you sent is arrived to receiver. Beside, you are unable to cancel after your request is accepted. Please make sure that XRP deposit address and amount of withdrawing are right.

If customers’ requests for withdraw are suddenly increased, stock of XRP could be short. Please understand it could take several days to withdraw crypto currency in this case.

Important point about sending Ripple

If destination address receives Ripple first time, 20 Ripple is charged for validation of the address on Block chain to receiver. The fee is charged from the amount of receiving so if the amount of deposit is less than 20 Ripple, the deposit is error and sent back to the sender.

I want to send Ripple. Who is subjected to the charge for validation of the address as 20 Ripple?

The sender is not charged for validation of the address. When the address receives Ripple first time, 20 Ripple is charged for validation of the address on Block chain to receiver. The charge for validation of the address is only first time. The Ripple deposit address which has been validated, is not going back to invalid.

How can I set two-step verify for withdrawing?

After logging in the trading site, click “User setting” on the top page.

  1. Common → Two-step verify
  2. Tick in the box of “Withdraw Digital”
  3. Tick in the box of “Mail” in Notify via
  4. Click “Register” down the page and reflect the setting.

After these procedure, two-step verify is available to withdraw crypto currency.

If you click “Get No.” on the page about withdrawing crypto currency, verify number is sent to the selected notify via “Mail” or “SMS”.

Verify number is sent straight away so please go back to the page about withdrawing crypto currency and enter verify number to send it.

Can I cancel to withdraw crypto currency?

Customers are able to cancel request for withdrawing crypto currency, before the processing of withdrawing crypto currency is started (Before it is written on Block chain).

Only when status is displayed as “Waiting”, cancel is displayed so click “Cancel”.

Cancel to withdraw crypto currency could not be safe depending on the condition of withdrawing crypto currency.

Please confirm the page of History after cancellation of withdrawing crypto currency.

Processing of withdrawing crypto currency is usually started writing on Block chain straight away and the status is changed to “Sending”. So you are unable to cancel withdrawing crypto currency. Even if you take a mistake such as entering wrong destination address or amount of withdrawing, you are unable to cancel after processing has been done. Returning your funds like bank transfer is impossible so please make sure to confirm the detail of withdrawing crypto currency carefully.

How long does it take that sending crypto currency is reached to receiver?

How much is commission fee for withdrawing and depositing crypto currency?

It is free.

We are subjected to commission fee about withdrawing for all crypto currencies, Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC) and Ripple (XRP) so commission fee for customers are free.

How much is minimum to withdraw?

You are able to designate decimal 8 places for Bitcoin (BTC) if the amount is more than 0.01 BTC.

You are able to designate decimal 8 places for sending Bitcoin (BTC) if the amount is more than 0.01 BTC and upper limit is 1,000 BTC.

How can I confirm completion of withdrawing and depositing?

Question: I requested for withdrawing crypto currency but the balance displayed in Assets on the top page has not been decreased. When is it decreased?

Answer: When you have requested for withdrawing crypto currency, your balance displayed in Assets is not decreased.
Your balance is decreased when processing of sending is completed in History.
Beside, the crypto currency which has not been completed to be withdrawn is deducted from the possible balance to sell for spot trading.

2-Step Verification is processed through email. We will send you an email with a code.

I have opened a general account. What should I do if I want to apply for a leverage trading account?

After logging into the trading site, press “Account” → “Application Status” → “Account Opening Status”.
Click “BPMY Leverage Trading Account” option, and you will be navigated to the leverage trading registration page. Once you have read and agreed to the Terms & Conditions, you may apply for the leverage trading account.

What kind of account do you provide?

Our company provide two kinds of accounts. A general account offers spot trading and cryptocurrency wallet service. We also provide a leverage trading account.

How to open a leverage trading account?

If you haven’t opened a general account yet, you can apply for a general account and a leverage account at the same time. Account opening can be done from our homepage using the register button or by clicking here. To open an account, please tick the “Open BPMY Leverage Trading Account” option with “✔”, carefully read and agree to the Terms of Use, fill in other necessary information, and finally click the “confirm” button. What conditions should be satisfied to open a margin account? Once the applicant has successfully opened a general account and met the general account opening requirements, they will also be required to fulfill the following conditions.

If you do not know password or transaction PIN number, reset password from the link “Forgot your password?” on the screen of login or “How to remove account lock?” on the screen of FAQ.

Can you tell me the criteria to open a leverage account?

The criteria to open a leverage account is below.

You have to have enough knowledge about leverage trading provided by us, understand the structure and risk of the trading and deal with trading with your own responsibility and judgement.

You must agree with the letter of contract about leverage trading.

You must be over 20 years old under 65 years old and sui juris.

The total of your financial assets is more than 10,000 MYR.

You have to understand English without any problem.

You must agree with that only Ringgit is acceptable for your leverage trading account.

Even if you pass the criteria for opening a leverage trading account, you are unable to open an account as the result of screening. In this case, we do not explain the reason so please understand it in advance.

How can I change my leverage course?

You are able to change your leverage course below procedure.

However, if you have open position or you are ordering a position, you are unable to change your leverage course.

Can you tell me login ID and login password to deal with leverage trading?

A leverage trading account is in the same site as a spot trading site and you are able to login by same ID and password as a general account.

How can I confirm my leverage course?

Login → Trading → Lever. New or Lever Sett.

When you apply for opening a leverage trading account, the course you selected has been set. If you change the course, you are able to change it any time below procedure.

However, if you have open position or you are ordering a position, you are unable to change your leverage course.

Is it possible to hold long and short positions simultaneously?

No, you cannot buy and sell at the same time.

Is there any limit for lot volume per order?

The minimum order unit is 0.01BTC, and the maximum order unit is 10BTC.

Is there any limit to the balance?

The total position balance which a customer can have is 300BTC.

What type of orders do you provide in margin trading?

We offer the following types of orders: Market order, Limit order, Stop Loss Order, IFD, OCO, IFDOCO, Trailing Stop Order.

What is the minimum order unit?

The minimum order unit is 0.01BTC . Trading volume can be increased in the increments of 0.01BTC. The maximum balance is 300BTC (Including the current lot volume held and the lot volume of the new order).

What is the trading time?

Digital assets trading is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week except for the maintenance time of 10 mins between 3:00 PM to 3:10 PM (Malaysia time).

Is there any limit for the holding period of orders?

You can choose GTC (Good Till Canceled) or GTD (Good Till Date). GTC means that the order is valid until it is executed or canceled. GTD means that the order is valid until it is executed or expired.

How can I cancel or modify an order?

The limit order can be canceled or modified (price & quantity) before the order has been executed. The market order can be canceled before the order has been executed. If an order has been executed, it cannot be canceled nor modified.
※If the execution and cancellation or revision occurred at the same moment, the execution will take its priority.

When is the settlement day?

It is the following day after the transaction day. The settlement of the closed position will be executed the following day.

What is a market order?

It is an order method where a client places an order without specifying the price. When the order arrives to our server, the market price offered by the system will be your opening price. Please be aware that there may be a price difference between the customer’s specified price and the actual opened price (i.e. slippage). Slippage may benefit or may suffer the client.

What is a limit order?

Limit order is a type of pending order, which the order will be executed when the market price is below or above the client’s specified price. According to our setting, each currency pair has its rule, the specified price must differ from the current market price by its specified range. Please confirm the details in the order window. For Buy Limit, the order will be executed when the market price falls below the specified price. For Sell Limit, the order will be executed when the market price rises above the specified price.

Also, when the market condition is unfavorable and the liquidity has decreased, even if a portion of the conditions for the transaction has been met, the entire order will be canceled by FOK. FOK order requires all requirements to be met to ensure that a position is executed at the desired price.

What is a stop loss order?

It is an order method where a client sets a predetermined stop loss order price. It instructs to buy above the specified price or to sell below the specified price. According to our setting, each currency pair has its rule, the specified price must differ from the current market price by its specified range. Please confirm the details in the order window. There are two types of order: Buy Stop and Sell Stop. Since the transaction will be executed as market order when the market price reaches the specified price, there may be a price difference between the customer’s specified price and the actual opened price (i.e. Slippage).

How can I place a new leverage order?

Login → Trading → Lever. New

  • Select the type of order: Streaming, Single or Stop loss
  • If you place a Single order or a Stop loss order, select “Short” or “Long”.
  • Designate quantity: Select order quantity for one order. Please designate more than 0.01 BTC as 0.01 BTC unit and less than 100 BTC.
  • Designate price: Select market or limit. If you place a limit order or stop loss order, please designate price.
  • The valid date is only GTC. An executed order is valid until the order is canceled.
  • Please enter the transaction PIN number (4 digit number)
  • If you place a single order or stop loss order, click order. The confirmation screen about 2-way price is displayed in the case of streaming order. Please click execute after confirming the detail. If you tick in the box of “Skip confirmation screen”, you are able to skip confirmation screen.

What is criteria of required margin?

The amount fee of new open position (Buy or Sell) is criteria. Required margin for open position is calculated depending on leverage course.

Example: Leverage trade 10 BTC new long position (1 BTC is 100,000 MYR) Leverage 25 times Required margin is below.

100,000 RM ×10 BTC÷25=40,000 RM

If holding market value is changed, required margin for open position is not changed.

 

Why is it different between settlement profit and loss displayed on the screen of Margin Deposit Management Detail and realized profit displayed on the screen of realized P&L?

Settlement profit and loss displayed on the screen of Margin Deposit Management Detail is only amount of settlement but realized profit and loss includes open position management fee. So there is difference as total open position management fee.

Open position management fee is daily charged from customers. It is not subtracted from your deposit at the time of settlement.

 

Why is it different between Margin Balance displayed on the top page and Margin Balance displayed on the page of Margin Deposit Management Detail?

Margin Balance displayed on the page of Margin Deposit Management Detail does not include settlement profit and loss which has not been agreed. Delivery is not done on Saturday and Sunday so if agreement day is Saturday or Sunday, it is combined with trading on Friday and delivery day is Monday. Realized profit and loss is not in margin deposit and added to settlement profit and loss. After delivery, it is transferred to margin deposit. On the other side, margin deposit displayed on the top page includes settlement profit and loss which has not been delivered so displayed amount is different as settlement profit and loss which has not been delivered.

How can I place a leverage settlement order?

Login → Trading → Lever. Settle

  • Select Short or Long in Open Position List and tick in the box of the position you want to settle. You are unable to designate quantity and you must settle an order as order unit. ( You are able to select plural orders.) The total quantity you have selected is displayed in the leverage order detail.
  • Select the type of order: Please select “Streaming”, “Single” or “Stop loss”
  • Designate price: Select Market or Limit. Please designate the price if you select limit order or stop loss order.
  • Valid date is only GTC. Executed order is valid until the order is cancelled.
  • Enter the transaction PIN number (4 digit number).
  • If you place a single order or stop loss order, click order. The confirmation screen about 2 way price is displayed in the case of streaming order. Please click execute after confirming the detail. If you tick in the box of “Skip confirmation screen”, you are able to skip confirmation screen.

If you select market, your order could be agreed as the price which is different as the displayed price. If the price is suddenly changed, your order could be agreed as unexpected price.

If you select limit order, your order is not agreed as the worse price than the displayed price.

Important point to settle your order

If your new leverage order is not completely agreed, you are unable to place a leverage settlement order. If you place an order to agree a part of quantity of order, please cancel new leverage orders first and place an order for settlement.

Can you tell me the unit order?

You are able to place an order more than 0.01 BTC as 0.01 BTC unit.

Can you tell me the trading time to place an order?

You are able to place an order 24 hours, 365 days. (Except 3:00 PM ~ 3:10 PM every trading day)

Does an order have valid date?

It is GTC (Good Till Cancel). Your order is available until the order is agreed or you cancel your order.

How can I cancel or correct an order?

Market New and Settlement: Customers are able to cancel the order which has not been agreed. Click cancel.

Correcting Limit New and Settlement: Customers are able to correct the order which has not been agreed. Click Change.

How can I confirm the condition of my order?

Inquiries → Order History

Select Currency Pair, Classification (All, Spot, New or Sett.), Sell/Buy (All, Sell, Buy, Short, Long, Sale Sett. or Buy Sett.), Order Status and Period. Click Search and confirm it.

If you would like to confirm all order, select All for Currency Pair and All for the other categories and 1 year for Period.

How can I confirm agreement?

Login → Inquiries → Trade History

If you select All for all categories, the result of all trades in the period you have selected is displayed.

You are able to extract the information by selecting below criteria.

How can I confirm my open position?

Login → Inquiries → Open Position Balance List

Open Position Balance List and Open Position Details are not updated automatically so confirm the information by clicking Search.

Beside, Total Float P&L displayed in the bar of open position balance search, does not include open position management fee.

Open Position Balance List is added up for each short position and long position.

The information about each order is displayed in Open Position Details.

How can I confirm profit and loss for leverage settlement?

Login → Inquiries → Realized P&L

Select “Leverage” for type and designate period. Click “Search”.

You are able to confirm realized profit and loss for each agreement order.

If the orders were agreed separately, each agreement is displayed separately.

I placed a market order for short or long but my order is not agreed. Margin balance is enough. Why is not my order agreed?

If margin balance goes down below 110% after your short or long order for leverage trading is agreed, you are unable to place an order as error.

The purpose of this is to protect customers from loss-cut. Please understand it.

Can you tell me the commission fee?

Trading fee, open account fee and account management fee are free.

Customers are charged as open position management fee below.

When you place a new leverage order, you are daily charged 0.05% of open position fee as open position management fee.

When you roll over your open position, you are daily charged 0.05% of open position fee as open position management fee.

How can I confirm required margin?

Login → Inquiries → Margin Deposit Management Details

You are able to confirm it as Total Required Margin Deposit.

Open Position Balance, Open Position Amount and Required Margin Deposit displayed in Leverage detail include open position quantity and open position deposit which has not been agreed and margin in processing of order.

Can we change the leverage while holding a position?

Leverage multiples can’t be changed while the order is held. Leverage can only be modified if there are no open trades. The pending request for changes to the leverage setting will take effect on 3:00 PM Malaysia every day. Please note that if you hold any position at 3:00 PM, modification request will be canceled.

I have made a modification request; however, the changes did not take place. Why?

The request will be processed daily at 3:00 PM Malaysia. Please be informed that if you hold any open trade at 3:00 PM, the modification request will be canceled. Therefore, in this case, please submit a request after the settlements of all orders.

What is a leverage?

Leverage is the strategy to use borrowed funds from a broker to magnify the size of a trade. We offer a maximum leverage of 25 times, with the flexibility to decide from 2, 5, 10, and 25 times.
Note: Higher leverage can magnify your gains from a successful trading; however, it can
also magnify your losses.

How to change the leverage?

The leverage setting can be modified by clicking on “Account ” → “Account information” → “Leverage multiple” in the trading site.

What leverage do you offer?

We offer leverage of 2, 5, 10 and 25 times.

Can we set different leverages for each position?

No. You can only select a single leverage for all orders that is traded with the account.

If I request a leverage change with open positions, would the system automatically settle it?

Open positions will not be settled, and the leverage multiple modification requests will be canceled.

Where can I confirm the current leverage?

After logging into the trade site, click “Account” → “Account Information” → “Leverage Multiple” to confirm the current leverage multiple.

I have requested the leverage multiple change. Can I cancel it?

If it is before 3:00 Malaysia, you may resubmit the change request to your desired leverage, and it will be changed accordingly to the latest request.

How to deposit into the margin account?

When depositing to a margin account, make sure that there is MYR balance in your general account. If there is no MYR balance, please deposit fiat currency or sell your digital assets to purchase MYR.

After logging into the general account, select “Transfer ” → “Internal Transfer” in the trading site. Select transfer from “General Account” to “Margin Account”. If you wish to transfer all the balance to the margin account, select “All Amount”. If you want to transfer partial amount, select “Specific Amount” and enter the amount. Then click the  “Confirm” button.

After confirming the details on “Fund Transfer Order Confirmation Screen”, enter your transaction pin and click “Execute”.

How to transfer the funds from the margin account to the general account?

If you would like to transfer funds from the margin account to the general account, please login to the trading site, select ” Transfer” → “Internal Transfer” on the trading page. Select transfer from “Margin Account ” to “General Account”. If you wish to transfer all the balance to the general account, select ” All Amount”, If you want to transfer partial amount, select “Specific Amount” and enter the amount. Then click the “Confirm” button.

After confirming the details on “Fund Transfer Order Confirmation Screen”, enter your
transaction pin and click “Execute”.

Are there any fees for depositing to or withdrawing from the margin account?

No, It’s free.

When can I proceed with the request to withdraw sales proceed from its trade?

What is the difference between spot trading and margin trading?

Spot trading uses self-funds to exchange with the asset. Whereas for Margin trading, you can leverage your purchases with borrowed funds, and you will make a profit on the margin earned. Actual Bitcoin exchange does not take place. Our margin trading platform can be used to trade up to 25 times of your provided capital. Customers can also make short orders to sell a digital asset without actually owning it.

Caution: Margin trades are riskier than spot trades. We, therefore, advise you to use margin trading carefully and trade at your own responsibility.

Is there any spread?

Yes, there is. It is a floating spread that changes accordingly to the current supply and demand.

What is the rule for margin stop out level?

Stop out is an automated system that forces the settlements of all open positions if the unrealized net loss reaches a certain level.

For our company, if the customer’s margin level falls below 100%, we have the right to liquidate your positions, without the obligation to obtain a consent from the customer. If the margin level is below 100%, we will keep liquidating the positions until it recovers back to 100%. The details will be displayed in the comment column of the terminal window.

Please note that stop loss activation will automatically initiate without any previous notices. If the margin level is over 99.95% and below 100.05%, the displayed margin level will be 100%. Stop out will initiate when the margin level is below 100% and it will be resolved when it is 100.000000%.
In the comment column of the terminal window, stop out execution percentage will be displayed as 100%; however, it is 99.999…% explicitly.
When the market price fluctuates drastically, there may be occasion where the stop out does not activate, and the losses may exceed the margin. In this case, customers will be required to deposit sufficient funds to resolve the issue.

Can you tell me about the notifications for stop out?

For client to manage their accounts, a warning notification email will be sent to the client’s registered email address when the margin level falls below 120%. Please note that warning notification email will be sent once a day. If the situation is still the same on the following day, the warming notification will be resent. Please also note that the notification email may get delayed or may not reach the customer due to technical issues of the system or drastic market volatility. Please bear in mind that this circumstance can occur any time, and never forget to trade responsibly.

What is loss-cut?

It is executed if margin balance is under 100%.

When margin balance goes down under 100%, loss-cut is executed. New limit order (Stop loss order) of the descending amount of margin is cancelled in order.

Even if all orders are cancelled and margin balance does not go back more than 100%, your descending open position is made force settlement in order until margin balance goes back to 100%. All your open position could be made force settlement depending on your account condition.

If the market is suddenly changed and even if loss-cut is executed, you could get loss more than your margin you have deposited.

What is alert notice?

If your margin balance to manage customers’ open position goes down under 120%, alert notice is sent to your registered email address.

Alert notice (Email) is sent once a day. (Calculation time is from 3:00 PM to 3:00 PM next day)

If your margin balance is judged that it goes down under 120% again next business day, alert notice is sent to you.

Please be careful that alert notice could be delayed to be sent for the system or sudden change of market, or could not be sent to customers.

What is additional cover?

It is to deposit additional margin.

When margin balance is under 100 %, loss-cut is executed so margin cash is rarely under 0.

However, if you place an order for new open position by realized profit or loss and appraisal profit or loss, open position management fee is taken at placing an order for new open position and if open position management fee is more than margin cash, margin cash is displayed as minus at the time.

If realized profit or loss is reflected to margin cash and margin cash goes up to plus at the time for judgement of additional cover, 3:00 PM daily processing, additional cover is solved but even if margin cash is minus after reflection of realized profit or loss, additional cover is needed. (Appraisal profit or loss is not solution of additional cover.)

Beside, if realized profit or loss is reflected to margin cash and margin cash goes down minus at the time of judgement of additional cover, 3:00 PM daily processing, additional cover is needed. In this case, please deposit additional cash by transferring your funds to your leverage trading account from your general account.

If your additional cover is overdue for the dead line of deposit, you need to pay arrears. Please be careful.
